Be at Rest
Because our God is good
my soul can be at rest
for God is in control
and works all things for best

Each day I pick out a Bible verse from my morning reading and write it down in my journal. Then I pen out my thoughts and prayers. Most quiet times I’m also able to write a short poem in response to what I’ve read. Later I find one of my own pictures from my files to share with the verse and poem. My Facebook page features these on most days between Mon-Fri.

At Rest Blessings ~ Wendy
Thank you for this post on two counts. First, I was just reading Hebrews 4 in my daily reading and was struck, again, by the references to HIS rest. Not our’s, not the world’s, but HIS. His rest means the work is done, salvation has been purchased by the blood of our Savior and there is nothing left of that debt for us to pay. Thank you for the reinforcement in your post. Second, I’ve been wanting to hook up my fb page with the blog, but didn’t know how to do it. You were very kind and showed me how to do it in this post., Amazing, isn’t it, how God works everything together. If we only had eyes really to see… Thanks, again, and God’s best to you this gorgeous Friday morning.
Clarence, over the years I’m always amazed at how God sees and cares for the big picture while also attending to the minutest details. Omnipresent Love. Do you have a Facebook page I can follow? I’d to have a link for it. Blessings and thank you for your encouragement.
Thank you, Wendy. I’m afraid the fb thing didn’t work out as I’d hoped. All I got was a note, which I finally figured out how to delete from the blog, that I’d not done it right. I HATE having to be smarter than what I’m working with! 🙂 I’ll figure it out one of these days, maybe. These newfangled contraptions…. 🙂 Maybe I should ask my 11-year-old granddaughter about it.
Clarence, here’s a link to a video about how to add a Facebook link to your blog. Sometimes I have to read several sets of directions before I understand something. Tech stuff ties my brain into knots. But my stubbornness eventually wins out. 😉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gui1wurcuO4 I hope this helps. If not, there are more links if you Google “How to add a Facebook link to your WordPress blog.” Blessings.
Thanks, Wendy. I looked at it, but I’m afraid that Youtube, my laptop, and my hearing aids aren’t particularly compatible. I will check out Google. Thanks, again.
