Who of you by worrying
can add a single hour to his life?
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given you as well.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:27 & 33-34

What is Worry?
**********************
What is worry?
Is it the wish for life to hurry
to the happy ending part
the page that doesn’t stress our heart?
~
What is worry?
Is it an irritating fury
that things again have gone awry
and not according to our pride?
~
What is worry?
Is it our vision going blurry
when our eyes are off the ball
and we forget Christ sees it all?

I’ve been tempted to worry more than usual lately…
so this post is for me.
But I thought I’d share just in case you need it too.

Worry Free Blessings †

Beautiful as always! Thank you Wendy! 🙂
Thank you, Hope. Blessings, dear friend. ❀
I like what Luke adds here, “If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?” In this case, “the least” is adding one cubit [18″] to our height simply by thinking about it! We can’t do this “least” thing, but that doesn’t stop us from worrying about the rest! God’s best to you, Wendy.
Your comment is so true, Clarence. We’re wise to replace our silly worried thoughts with God’s peace-filled words instead. I’m so thankful for my bible. Blessings. ❀
Wendy, the scriptural verses from Matthew are so helpful and point us to our Lord who meets our every need. He will continue to be your comfort and strength and indeed He understands our worries. My thoughts and prayers. Love, Iris.
Thank you, dear Iris. xo I agree that He is the God of comfort and understanding. ❀
